About this guide

JuneauWildlifeWhale.com is an independent visitor guide to whale watching in Juneau, Alaska. We are not Alaska Tales, whose tour on Viator is also called "Juneau Wildlife Whale Watching", and we are not any other tour operator, cruise line or Viator. The site name describes what we write about, not a business. We compare the bookable whale cruises so you can pick the right one for your port day first time.

Facts on this site are checked against operators' published details, the live Viator listings (including hundreds of recent guest reviews), and official sources such as NOAA Fisheries, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, the US Forest Service and Travel Juneau. Prices and schedules move; when a listing and this page disagree, the checkout price wins.

The site is funded by affiliate commissions: when you book through a Viator link here, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never changes what we recommend, including pointing out non-refundable listings and what a "whale guarantee" really pays back. Details on the affiliate disclosure page.
